Welcome to the NGO Quality Assurance Certification Mechanism (QuAM)

TOWARDS A PUBLICLY ACCOUNTABLE NGO SECTOR IN UGANDA.
The QuAM has been specifically developed for what is known in our country as ‘NGOs' and ‘NGO networks.' A network is defined as a network of non-governmental organisations, that is registered with the NGO Board or district authorities, and that brings together other organisations and/or individuals as its members.

CERTIFIED NGOS

Certified NGOs

As of 30th December 2016, the QuAM certification process continues to demonstrate its commitment to enhancing the quality and accountability of NGOs. During this period, a total of 154 NGOs successfully underwent certification, a significant milestone that highlights the growing dedication of organizations toward meeting the standards set by QuAM.

Among these, 13 NGOs achieved the prestigious advanced certificates, signifying their exceptional adherence to best practices and organizational excellence. Furthermore, 114 NGOs were awarded standard certificates, reflecting their ability to meet the core requirements of the certification process. An additional 27 NGOs received provisional certificates, marking their progress on the path to full compliance and recognition. This achievement underscores QuAM's role in fostering a culture of transparency and continuous improvement within the NGO sector.

On 14th December 2016, several NGOs were specifically recognized and awarded their respective certificates, demonstrating their commitment to accountability and service delivery. This process not only strengthens the credibility of certified NGOs but also assures stakeholders of their dedication to ethical practices and effective operations. By participating in the QuAM certification process, these organizations have taken a significant step toward building trust with their beneficiaries, partners, and the public. As the number of certified NGOs grows, QuAM continues to play a vital role in raising the bar for quality and standards in the NGO sector.
